Campus reports – a financial aid
representative from each campus will be asked to share their
current procedures working with study abroad students including
obstacles, future goals, familiarity with study abroad (how many
students does the office work with per year), cross-registration
issues, etc. |

Discussion of resources and creative
scholarship models to increase available funds for study abroad
students -- Vaughan Frederick, EOC Advisor and John Favazzo, VTRIP

Brainstorming “SWOT” session to
discuss the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats for
developing agreed upon procedures across the consortium. Topics
will include: “approved” study abroad programs; student budgets;
time needed to process requests; communication between
institutions, program leaders, advisors, study abroad offices,
etc.; how we can work together across the consortium to better
serve students; and what VTRIP and VTC can do to facilitate your
work. Please be prepared to offer suggestions and specific needs
of your institution. |
